Come on a magical Tree Fairy Trail around the Harcourt Arboretum this summer! There are seven fairies, each hiding behind their own fairy door at the bottom of their special tree. Once you have found them all and collected a letter from each fairy, you can make a word to claim your prize.
The trail runs from 20 July to 8 September 2024.
Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies of the Trees was first published in 1940, introducing children to the flowers and fruits that grow on trees with magical illustrations and whimsical poems. Treetop Fairies are the most daring of all Flower Fairies, and have no fear of heights – they are happiest swinging from branch to branch, high up in their trees! The Nut Fairies (particularly the young ones) are the naughtiest, playing noisy games of chase in their branches. If you are walking under a beech tree on a blustery day, it might not just be the wind that sends beechnuts raining down onto your head!
The Tree Fairy Trail is designed for children aged 3-8, but all ages will enjoy this magical experience.
The entry fee is £2 per child (accompanying adults will need to pay standard entry). Pay for the trail on arrival.
